Petosan dental products for pets have been developed by a team of Scandinavian dentists, veterinarians and a leading-edge toothbrush manufacturer. Petosan is a family business with over 200 years’ accumulated experience in the dental field. Otto Barman and his wife Solveig, both dentists, started out in 1924 and dedicated their professional’s lives to improving people’s dental hygiene. Otto Barman introduced compulsory fluoride rinsing in primary schools in Norway. Their son Rolf Barman was also a dentist. During the course of his career, he invented a number of truly unique dental products including the double-ended, anatomically shaped dental stick, which was sold to Oral B in 1984.

Today, in cooperation with veterinary specialists, the third generation of the Barman dentists has made Petosan, a world leader in Pet Dental Care. The family’s exceptional knowledge of dental hygiene has been the key to the development of the patented double-headed toothbrush for dogs, Petosan Silentpower, the first double-headed sonic toothbrush for dogs and the Petosan Oral Cleaner, the microfiber toothbrush for dogs.

Petosan Toothpaste

The Petosan Pet Toothpaste is designed for use by those who brush their dog’s teeth every day. It is formulated to be very tasty, helping to make brushing a positive experience for your dog.

The paste contains Pyrophosphates that help control tartar by inhibiting the formation of dental calculus.

Petosan uses Hydrated silica, a mild abrasive used for grinding and polishing. It is found as crystals, and is made of small and smooth particles which are preferred to avoid tooth wear.

Toothpaste ingredients: Aqua, Hydrated Silica, Sorbitol, Kaolin, Glycerin, Cellulose Gum, Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Disodium Pyrophosphate, Sodium Saccharin, Flavour, Sodium Benzoate.

The toothpaste contains no animal products or animal by-products and the poultry flavour is artificial.
