ORIVET Purebred Dog Full Breed Profile

Breed-specific DNA testing is only available with Orivet's Purebred Dog Full Breed Profile.

There are over 280 health and trait tests offered by Orivet, but only the results relevant to your dog breed will appear on your report. Spend less money on tests that don't pertain to your dog breed than on hundreds of tests for other breeds. Using this information can help you develop a breeding strategy and maintain your dog's wellness.

 

How to use the ORIVET Purebred Dog Full Breed Profile?


STEP 1: Activate your kit online (follow instructions provided in the kit).

Select one of these breeds upon activation. You may only select one breed per kit.

  1. Australian Shepherd
  2. Beagle
  3. Border Collie
  4. French Bulldog
  5. German Shepherd
  6. Golden Retriever
  7. Goldendoodle (Also known as Groodle)
  8. Labradoodle
  9. Labrador retriever
  10. Miniature American Shepherd


STEP 2: Collect the DNA.

  • No eating for 10 minutes before collection.
  • Use all the swabs to collect your sample.
  • Gently rub the swab on the inside of your dog's cheek for 10 - 15 seconds.
  • Allow swabs to dry for 10 minutes before placing them back in the pouch.
  • Seal pouch with barcode sticker.

NOTE: The number of swabs in your kit may vary depending on the type of test.


STEP 3: Send off sample. Place the pouch containing the swabs into the provided Self-Addressed Pre-Paid Envelope for lab analysis. An email will be sent to you once results are ready.

 

How Do I Get My Results?

Results will be presented online on your Orivet account, You can also download and view on the Orivet Breeder App (on your IOS or Android device).

You will receive a DNA profile (genetic fingerprint) that can be used to clear dogs by parentage and prove their lineage. Moreover, you will have access to Orivet's Breeder's Tools, as well as the Orivet App for iOS and Android.  

 

 

 PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT SUITABLE FOR MIXED BREED DOGS.
