Omega Fatty acids are specific types of polyunsaturated fats necessary to maintain good health and beneficial in a number of different disease conditions. The two main classes of fatty acids are omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Some of these fatty acids cannot be produced by the body, but must be obtained through the diet. These fatty acids are called 'essential' fatty acids.
